Building Strength for the Long Haul toward Liberation: A Toolkit to Contribute to the Resilience of Communities Fighting against State-Sanctioned Violence [Request Form]: This toolkit created by the REACH Lab lists specific strategies that can help build resilience resources for communities fighting against state-sanctioned violence. This toolkit is meant to be of practical use for psychologists, activists, and community members as they work to support community resilience and build a society free from state-sanctioned violence. Please click the link in the title to complete a request form to receive access to this resource. 

Community Psychology: This is the website for APA’s Division 27, the Society for Community Research and Action. It has resources and definitions related to community psychology. 

Intimate Partner Violence: This is the website for the Domestic Violence Evidence Project, which has tools and resources for evaluating DV programs.

Academics for Black Survival and Wellness: This is the website for Academics for Black Survival and Wellness, “organized by a group of Black counseling psychologists and their colleagues who practice Black allyship. Guided by a Black feminist frame, we hope to foster accountability and growth for non-Black people and enhance healing and wellness for Black people.” Many resources and ongoing efforts posted and advertised on this website by this amazing group.

Racial Trauma Toolkit: The Community Healing Network, Emotional Emancipation Circles, and Association of Black Psychologists released a toolkit on healing in the face of cultural trauma. This toolkit provides information, resources and suggestions for individuals, families and communities coping with cultural trauma. 

Racial Trauma Toolkit: The Boston College Institute for the Study and Promotion of Race and Culture is released a #RacialTraumaIsReal toolkit that addresses racial trauma and provides guidance on managing symptoms of racial trauma.  

RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network): This is the website for the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. This website includes resources including a hotline number, sexual violence statistics  and programs geared toward community education and training. 

Safe Horizon: This is the website for one of the country’s largest crime victims’ services organizations, based in New York City. Safe Horizon works toward providing support, preventing violence and promoting justice for victims of abuse and crime. The website includes resources for victims, information for communities and a 24-hr hotline. 

Peaceful Families Project: This is the website for a community organization working toward spreading awareness of and preventing domestic violence in Muslim communities. This website includes resources, publication, toolkits and information about programming regarding domestic violence in the Muslim context. 

Social Mobility and Policy-Relevant Research: This website provides super-accessible resources (slides, non-technical summaries, academic papers) based in Raj Chetty’s work on social mobility in the United States. It includes information about differences among geographical areas with varying degrees of mobility and the role of race in economic mobility. This evolving body of work provides powerful evidence for the importance of context in economic wellbeing, and is an exemplar of policy-relevant research.

Community Tool box: The Community Tool Box is a free, online resource for those working to build healthier communities and bring about social change. It offers thousands of pages of tips and tools for taking action in communities.

U.S. Trans Survey: With almost 28,000 respondents, the U.S. Transgender Survey (USTS) is the largest survey ever devoted to the lives and experiences of trans people.
